I remember when my daughter got asked to babysit for the first time.
She’d taken the Babysitting Course, but she was young. Thankfully, the job was working as a mother’s helper. The mom was a piano teacher and needed someone to watch her kids while she taught lessons. It was a great first babysitting experience. And it wasn’t long before she gained the skills and confidence she needed to babysit on her own.
Your child may want to start as a mother’s helper. Or maybe, you know they’re not quite ready to babysit on their own yet. (That’s okay!) I’ve got a few ideas coming your way in the next week or so.
